Landscaping near Basingstoke

Yew Tree Landscapes completed a project near Basingstoke and laid 110 square meters of storm grey machine cut & honed slabs.

We dug out over 160 square meters of the rear garden in preparation for storm grey machine cut & honed slabs. 5 recessed manhole covers were incorporated into the patio and the slabs were laid with a consistent 10mm pointing in the gap. We managed to achieve these optimum 10mm gaps by using 10mm tile spacers. The patio was pointed in with stone grey easy joint pointing in compound and the front edge of the main patio was finished off with charcoal block paving. To stop any weeds from growing, the rest of the area was covered with a weed-suppressing membrane, which was then covered with Cerney Shingle. The brickwork was completed to match the brickwork of the house and creasing tiles were used under the soldier course for a cosmetic feature. The steps were finished off using charcoal bullnose edging blocks, pointed in using the traditional method.
