Block Paving and Paving

Here’s a job “Block Paving” completed by Yew Tree Landscapes in Hampshire, for a customer looking to give their garden a face-lift. The original drive also needed replacing to improve the look of the property.

When we started the garden was completely covered in brambles. We had to remove all the overgrowth and strip back to a blank canvas to start with. In order to prepare the surface to lay the paving, we dug everything out. While carrying out this task we discovered a rusted main water supply.

Our customer received a quote for over £1000 to replace the rusted water supply, but we were able to carry the same work out for just over £400. Along both sides of the rear and front gardens, we fitted close board fences, finishing the top of the existing wall off with a small picket style fence.

Around the outside of the new path, patio and planting beds we laid Marshalls Tegula edging blocks. Over 20 ton of sieved topsoil was added to bring the levels of the garden up ready for turfing. We turfed the front garden with Rolawn Medallion turf. The new drive is a stunning grey block paved surface. As you can see it complements the property and makes the house more inviting. What a garden! And what a pleasure it has been to be involved in such a fantastic project.
